ViaCon Group is now looking for a Group Accountant. We are looking for someone who is business-driven, curious about group accounting, and wants to develop within the finance function at a headquarters.

About the role

As a Group Accountant, you will be responsible for group reporting and consolidation together with colleagues. The group consists of about 30 subsidiaries across Europe. In addition to working with consolidation and reporting, you will have the opportunity to assist other senior colleagues within the Group Finance function. This is a really exciting opportunity for you who want to develop in group accounting, financial reporting, tax, financing, internal control, and sustainability reporting, based at a headquarters close to decision-makers. The position reports to the Director of Group Accounting.

Your main tasks will include:

• Consolidation and reporting
• Quality assurance of data from subsidiaries
• Monitoring and analysis
• Internal financial reporting
• Participating in the preparation of the group’s annual report and interim reports
• Development of processes for group reporting and consolidation
• Supporting subsidiaries with system issues

Who are you?

ViaCon is looking for someone with a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting. You have a few years of experience as an accountant where you have independently worked with year-end closing and financial reporting. Previous experience in group accounting and consolidation as well as IFRS is a plus but not a requirement; the most important thing is that you are curious and interested in taking the next step into a new role. You are a comfortable user of Excel and skilled at developing and building reports. You will primarily work in Cognos Controller but also in Business Central Dynamics (BC), and we see that you have an easy time tackling new systems.

As a person, you are results-driven, meticulous, and unpretentious, motivated by working in a dynamic environment within an international group. The role involves daily contact with our subsidiaries across Europe, which means you need to feel comfortable communicating fluently in English and Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You are driven to deliver high quality in your work and have a desire to develop and improve both your working methods and yourself as a person. You are a doer and good at delivering and meeting deadlines. To succeed in the role, you are analytical and can see the big picture at an early stage.
